Pen and paper are always with me and, most of the time, I am sketching.

Design incorporates much of the things I love about creativity and problem solving.

Growing up, I always loved working with my hands- from sketching to building Lego mansions. This spurred me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design. Design incorporates much of the things I love about creativity and problem solving. After graduation, I worked as a graphic designer in the marketing division of an upscale frozen dessert franchise and greatly impacted the branding of the company. In my opinion, the best part of being a designer is the gratifying feeling I get when I come up with a clever solution.

From as early as I can remember words have been my passion.

Although fairly new to the scene, I’d say I have a lifetime of experience that has prepared me for my current role as a communication consultant. From as early as I can remember words have been my passion. My first story at age 3 about a runaway cat still sits on my grandfather’s shelf as proof of my early onset love for writing. As I grew up that love only expanded from writing stories for my grandfather to writing/telling stories to anyone willing to listen. Today, turning people’s thoughts into words is still my passion and I’m lucky enough to make a living doing so!
I have a degree in Communication with a minor in Marketing and spent my first year out of college in the Marketing department of a software company. I’m thrilled to now be on the Orange Sparkle Ball team surrounded by such talent and passion for design and communication as well.

Eric is our in-house comedian. But when he’s not making everyone laugh (or roll their eyes), he can be found working with his OSB teammates to craft creative and innovative solutions for Orange Sparkle Ball’s awesome clients. He, like the rest of the Orange Sparkle Ball team, loves a tricky design problem, and relishes in finding elegantly simple solutions.

Coming from over a decade of customer service experience, I am constantly pondering how best to serve my team and clients’ needs while being the newbie in this ever-changing industry. I find that I’m detail-oriented and a darn good assistant. I enjoy things of tedious nature and following things through to the end. I look forward to Orange Sparkle Ball’s future as well as my own evolution within this organization. We are moving towards some exciting endeavors!!
I am a librarian at heart in that I love finding systems for organization. For example, my books are currently in rainbow order (ROYGBIV) and my dvds are in alphabetical order.

After nearly ten years in design and branding, I would answer to the titles Graphic Designer, Product Designer, Brand Strategist or Visual Communicator. If you asked me, I would say that I what I do is tell stories and solve problems through design.
I have an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design and an MBA in marketing. For the first six years of my career, I worked for a Fortune 500 company and was responsible for bringing brands to life through consumer products. In recent years, I have been teaching design and independently consulting.
One of things I love most about design is the means it provides for fostering viable, elegant and meaningful solutions to a variety of problems. Lately, I have seen those problems be more and more about finding ways to close loops in responsible and sustainable ways.

I’m interested in a lot of things – and I’ve done a bunch. After a public health career during which I ran HIV studies at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, I switched gears and went to design school. Now, I own Orange Sparkle Ball, a communications agency where we do design and development projects for corporate clients, nonprofits and universities. My company is about innovation and increasingly, social design.
Social design is about causing change through good design. Projects that we’re currently involved in focus on recycling, packaging reuse and collaborative design.
