Rockin’ with Tricksy, Orange Sparkle Ball helped this Roller Derby band enhance their online presence by creating a site as edgy and fun as their music!

Orange Sparkle Ball helped the Roller Derby band Tricksy (http://www.tricksyrox.com) turn it up to 11 by collaborating with the band on a refresh of their website.

The site features a new look and offers a pop-out music player! The player uses modern HTML5 technology, with Flash as a fallback, to play the latest and greatest Tricksy tunes!

Another new features is the band’s new photo gallery: powered by Javascript and using jQuery, the gallery allows for a fun, extremely interactive experience. Be sure to check out this rockin’ site!

ClearRock, a New England based executive coaching and outplacement firm, began the year by increasing their online visibility through the utilization of popular social media outlets, thereby delivering improved avenues of communication with the company, and generating more opportunities for ClearRock to receive feedback and interact with their audience.

Orange Sparkle Ball, who designed ClearRock’s current website, added the following new features, which can be found when visiting the ClearRock (http://www.clearrock.com) site:

• Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn icons that allow users multiple ways to connect and share information about ClearRock with online friends via social media

• Links placed throughout the site to ClearRock’s social media profiles on LinkedIn and Facebook

• A newsletter sign-up form to connect users to ClearRock’s e-newsletter – an e-mail publication created by ClearRock for clients and industry professionals, filled with invaluable insider knowledge.

The updated site is user-friendly, contains extensive social media integration, and is home to an informative new blog aimed at promoting healthy living and spreading colon cancer awareness. SparkleQuest is the app we built for Rails Rumble. We’re hoping to develop it into a full fledged product for our own use and for anyone else that might be interested in making their project management more fun.

SparkleQuest was built on our Ruby framework called Orange, an alternative to Ruby on Rails and Sinatra. This allowed us to quickly build scaffolding and incorporate plugins we’ve been writing for other sites.

SparkleQuest also gave us an opportunity to build some fun design elements.
