Innovation Quantification Analyst

Join our team as an Innovation Quantification Analyst and help us bridge the gap between policy, economics, and the measurement of change and impact. In this role, you will: (Responsibilities and Duties)

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement innovative approaches for quantifying and measuring innovation within our organization.

  • Assist with coding tasks to streamline processes and enhance data analysis capabilities.

  • Conduct research and analysis on policy issues related to our projects, both in the public and private sector.

  • Support economic research efforts to evaluate the impact of innovation and identify trends and patterns.

  • Utilize data analytics techniques and tools to extract insights and generate actionable recommendations.

  • Work on outstanding Request for Proposals (RFPs) by assisting in drafting proposals and conducting background research.

  • Collaborate with clients from corporate, government, and academic sectors to understand their needs and contribute to project deliverables.

  • Assist in the organization and coordination of the annual Public Health+ series, which showcases talks by professionals addressing unconventional problems or perspectives related to public health.

To excel in this role you should be or have:

  • An excellent writer and verbal communicator who can convey complex concepts and findings effectively

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • A strong problem-solver who is proactive and can work with ambiguity

  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Solid analytical and research skills with the ability to collect and synthesize data from multiple sources

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Some familiarity with R, Python, Excel, or some other statistical programming software

  • Social network analysis experience including experience with AllegroGraph, Gephi, and Mathematica

  • A strong interest and understanding of policy, economics, or human geography, and their intersection with innovation

  • Some B2 or higher language skills in Spanish

Duration, compensation, and application: 

  • Duration: This role requires a commitment of 10 hours per week and will run from September 2023 - May 2024

  • This position will pay $20/hr.

  • Timeline: This process should move quickly. We’re looking to have someone hired by mid-August.
