OSB’s First Innovation Fellow: Meet Michael Cassidy

Join the OSB team in welcoming our first Innovation Fellow, Michael Cassidy! Michael brings to the team a decade of experience in strategy, in-depth automotive industry knowledge, as well as a Masters of Public Health in Informatics from Emory University. As an Innovation Fellow, Michael will contribute his expertise towards our practice in mobility and understanding individual perceptions of innovation research.

As a coach in the 2021 Rollins Innovation Summit, Michael is no stranger to OSB’s innovation process. Our Immersive Innovation Labs are a tool to guide teams of all backgrounds and disciplines through an innovative problem solving process. Especially in complex fields like public health, Immersive Innovation Labs can help participants break through siloes to identify actionable solutions to deeply entrenched challenges.

Michael reflects on his experiences from the Rollins Innovation Summit and how he’s leveraged those experiences in his own career:

“Taking big ideas and turning them into something tangible… Being able to really know how to strategically move somebody from a big idea to something that they can do. You know, I think that was something that the summit really taught me how to do.”

From guiding RIS cohorts through innovative organizational problem solving methods, to working with our team on both external and internal innovation initiatives, we’re thrilled to see how Michael’s leveraged his experiences from RIS and evolved as an innovator throughout the past few years. We can’t wait to see the valuable insights that Michael contributes to the OSB team!
